Carol Perlman When we were in Juneau, my husband and I took the Four Glacier Helicopter Ride and Dog Sled excursion for $499 each. Alaska was experiencing a heat wave and it was 90 degrees in town on the day we went, but we still needed warm clothing and hats and gloves when we were on the sleds. We shared our plane with a family of four and the pilot. It was the first time I had been in a helicopter and it was amazing. Our pilot gave us head phones that piped in music, and the sight of the glaciers and the sound of the music was an awesome experience. The helicopter ride was like bouncing on air. When we landed, the dogs got very excited because they knew they were going for a run. Riding around the track, my husband got a chance to steer the sled while I sat in the seat. This was an expensive trip, but the most exciting and beautiful thing I’ve ever done. Dress warmly and bring your camera.. Check
