Ellen Hall The boat had a covered but open top deck and below was a row of seats down the middle with windows on each side. The lower part was about 6 feet below the water line. They showed a video as we rode to the shallows and the underwater habitats we were to explore. Then they slowed down and the guides would walk around between us and point out various sea life. We saw starfish, crabs, fish, jellyfish, a kelp forest, sea anemone, sea urchins, sea grass and sea cucumbers. It was amazing to see all the things alive below the surface that you don’t have any clue lives there, especially in water that cold! A diver would bring up some starfish and other sea life to the windows for us to see up close. On the ride back to shore, we were on the top deck and snacked on shortbread cookies with kelp marmalade, and it was actually pretty good. Another good excursion! Check
